About the University Clinic

Established in 2019, the UCL University Clinic brings together academic and clinical leaders within the field of mental health and psychological therapies.

The UCL University Clinic has the following three aims:

  • To provide evidence-based interventions to the UCL student community in collaboration with our NHS partnersÌý
  • To develop and evaluate novelÌýinterventions within the field of young people's mental health
  • To provide training and professional development opportunities forÌýmental health practitioners

The Clinic sits within the Department of Clinical, Educational, and Health Psychology at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË, which enables for novel treatments to be developed, providedÌýand evaluated by clinical academic staff and trainees. Such clinics are aÌýmainstay of clinical psychology training and practice in other parts of the world, especially the US and Europe.Ìý

University College London has the largest doctoral Clinical Psychology training course in the UK, and also provides training to a wide range of psychological practitioners. The University Clinic is an NHS-based clinic, with strong links with local NHS Trusts, in particular Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust and Central and Northwest London NHS Foundation Trust.
