马尔丁（惭补谤诲颈苍）田野调查点是位于土耳其东南部的中型城镇，主要居住着穆斯林逊尼派库尔德人和阿拉伯人，还有数百个基督教徒。我们的调查主要在该城镇的新城区进行，近15年来这里不断发展扩张，主要原因是来自该省其他城镇的移民，还有来自旧城区的当地居民搬迁到这里。城市化进程以及新商店、咖啡馆、餐馆的普及，还有新的现代住房和一所新大学，这一切都促进了社会关系和生活方式的重大变化，特别是在青年中。
