Get a new ID card (Replace a broken ID card)
Before you start
You should know that:
- A £15 administration fee is charged for a replacement card unless the card has failed or expired, or because the information on the card has changed (providing that the current card is returned to the UCL Security ID issue team).
- The UCL ID card remains the property of UCL and must be returned to UCL Security at the end of your contract or course. The card is non-transferable and must be used by the named cardholder only.
- Permanent members of staff (orange banner cards) get five cardsÌýbefore they need to payÌýfor replacements.ÌýContractors (black banner cards) get twoÌýcardsÌýbefore they need to payÌýfor replacements.
- To add any specific building access rights, authorised signatories should emailÌýsecuritysystems@ucl.ac.uk.
You will need:Ìý
- ID (such as a passportÌýor Driver’s Licence). Your photograph will be taken at the desk.Ìý
- £15 (if youÌýhave toÌýpay for your replacement card).
- To book Ìýat the Andrew Huxley centre.
- 1. Contact Security to report the card
If you find an ID card, please report it to Security Systems whoÌýwill deactivate it and contact the owner.
- 2. If you need to pay for your replacement card
It will cost £15 to replace a lost ID card. Please speak with Andrew Huxley reception staff before making a payment.
- 3. Book your collection time at the Andrew Huxley centre
- 4. Collect a new card from Security Systems
You will need to go to the Security Systems office and bring a piece of photographic IDÌýsuch as a Passport, Drivers licence, BRP or EU ID card. Please note that we photocopies or digital copies are NOT accepted.
