SSEES played host to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Economics and Security Committee and NATO partner countries for briefings given by SSEES economists on the Russian Economy.
Slavo Rado拧evi膰, Tomasz Mickiewicz and Chris Gerry gave presentations to 30 members of the delegation, which included representatives of the Russian Duma. The purpose of the meeting was to give the parliamentarians insights from academics that are usually quite different from those they garner in meetings with government officials.
Three academics from SOAS were also invited to brief the group on the economy and security of Afghanistan and India.
