What is the issue?

The G5 Semi-Automatic AED is shippedÌýwith a protective film over its front panel, to protect the screen and shock button from cosmetic damage during shipping.Ìý Users may not be removing the protective film during deployment of the product.Ìý If the protective film is left adhered to the front bezel it may prevent the user from activating the shock button.Ìý This may lead to a delay or prevent delivery of defibrillation therapy to a victim suffering from sudden cardiac arrest.

ActionÌýto be taken:

1. This alert applies if your AED is not on the Ìý UCL Estates representatives will inspect the AEDs on the register.
2. Check the back of your G5 Semi-Automatic AED to identify the serial number.
3. If it isÌýD00000276194-D00000343449Ìýensure the protective film has been removed in accordance with the photos below.
