Radiation monitoring instruments that are out-of-date for calibration or faulty must not be used, and should be removed from the work area.聽聽The instruments will have a sticker on them showing the date that it was last calibrated or when it is due for re-calibration.聽聽Contamination monitors ("yellow monitors鈥�) can be calibrated by Radiation Physics at聽the UCLH Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering Department.聽

To arrange calibration:聽

1.聽聽 聽Check the monitors are in good working order, free from contamination and with working batteries

2.聽聽 聽Complete a calibration request form and send it to uclh.radiationprotectionservices@nhs.net

3.聽聽 聽Raise a purchase order (拢50 per monitor) choosing this supplier:聽
