UCL's technical professionals achieve success at the HETS23

The UK Higher Education Technicians Summit 2023 (HETS23) took place last week, with UCL technical professionals amongst the Papin Prize Winners.
On 4ÌýJuly, the University of Warwick hosted the UK Higher Education Technicians Summit 2023 (HETS23), where Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam MBEÌýgave the keynote speech. Professor Van-TamÌýrecognised that many of the technicians in the audience took a role in the COVID crisis, andÌýthanked them for doing so.
Higher education and research technicians from across the UK wereÌýhonoured with prestigious awardsÌýrecognisingÌýexcellence in academia.
UCL technical staff wereÌýrepresented as the following:
- Han Wu:ÌýContribution to Research –Ìýshortlisted
- Christopher Thrasivoulou:ÌýCore Research Facility –Ìýwinner
- Martin Farley:ÌýPapin Medal –Ìýwinner
- Yvette Hoade:ÌýBest Poster –Ìýwinner
