Participants needed for a study on falls and walking: earn £10 per hour

The aim of this research is to understand how errors in vision and movement contribute to falls.

Participants wanted for study into the effectiveness of various methods for self-monitoring diet and physical activity behaviours ÌýTo do this we will ask you toÌýstep to a target as accurately as possible.

The target will be a light on the floor in front of you, located at a comfortable stepping distance.

What would taking part involve?

Taking part in this study will involve one session ofÌý2 hours.​

We will record the position of your body, the forces you exert on the ground and your eye movements whilst you take a step. All techniques used are non-invasive.

Location

The testing sessionÌýwill take place at 33 Queens Square, London, WC1N 3BG on the 5th floor.

Participants will be paid £10Ìýper hour.

Am I eligible?

You are eligible if

  • you are OVER 18-years old
  • youÌýDOÌýNOT have any known neurological, sensory, muscular or orthopaedic disorder
  • youÌýDO NOT use glasses orÌývarifocal contact lenses during every-day walking
