Remind students to register to vote

It is important that we encourage our students to vote, as this gives them the opportunity to have a say on important issues that affect them - everything from roads and recycling in their area, to education and climate change.
The way we register to vote changed on 10 June. Now,听the head of a household can no longer register everyone who lives at their address. In order to vote听in any UK elections, students have to be on the electoral register.听Registering takes around 5 minutes and they can fill in their details online on the . In order to register to vote, students will need their National Insurance Number.
Students who prefer to register to vote via post can download a 听from the GOV.UK website.听
