This module, which is delivered through a mixture of lectures and small group seminars, aims to develop students’ understanding of key debates and theories relevant to planning practice. The seminars are structured around key questions, debates and dilemmas facing UK planners. The lectures are structured around considering decision-making processes and procedures in the planning system. Overall, the module considers the field as a professional, peopled process.
