Description

The module provides students with an understanding of the theories and approaches to the study of human behaviour in organisations. Students will gain an appreciation for the evolution of the discipline, from early historical theories to contemporary perspectives in organisational behaviour. This theoretical grounding will be integral for understanding the evolution of the workplace, how it mirrors and interacts with the larger societal norms, as well as how it reacts to economic and social changes.

Students will address key issues surrounding the management of diversity in the workplace. They will explore the meaning and interpretation of workplace diversity and inclusion and how they impact individuals, groups and the workforce as a whole. Consequently, they will learn how to use organisational behaviour and human resource management tools to foster an inclusive, rewarding and productive workplace.
