Description
IFS workshops are held on two days each term to supplement the supervision you receive from your supervisor. You are expected to attend the IFS workshops, which give you the opportunity to:
- develop your knowledge of specialist topics;
- discuss your research with staff and colleagues;
- raise issues which are particularly interesting or challenging;
- check that our expectations match those of others; and
- to sort out any general queries.
The workshops provide an excellent opportunity for you to meet your colleagues, to discuss your work, to meet with your supervisor(s) and to use the library, thereby maintaining the collegiality which is such a strong feature of the EdD.
The focus will be on preparing the portfolio reflective statement; working effectively with your supervisors; writing the IFS proposal; gaining ethical approval; sustained coherency of writing for the IFS
Participants would be expected to attend sessions face-to-face..
