Based at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË East, the module uses East London as a living lab to understand London through aÌýtransdisciplinary lens, taking into account architecture, the arts, the built environment, culture,Ìýdemographics, economy, environment, geography, governance, history, politics and urban planning.ÌýThrough talks and site visits, and the use of the Urban Room and Memory Workshop, students areÌýexposed to UCL’s heritage of work and key thinkers on London, its collections (from UCL Special Collections and additional archives), and currentÌýapproaches to the study of London from different disciplinary perspectives and through the use ofÌýdifferent media.
