Biography
Son of David Evans (q.v.) and correspondent with the Commissioners of Slave Compensation in 1837, when he was shown as of Bristol. He died in Herefordshire 05/11/1878. No will or probate record for him has yet been traced by LBS.
- In 1871, Henry Rawlins Evans sen. 'retired farmer' aged 69 born St Kitts was living with his son and his family at Swanston [sic] Court, Dilwyn, Herefordshire. A memorial showing his death 05/11/1878 and that of his son who predeceased him the same year were recorded at St Peter's Churchyard, Birley, Herefordshire. Will of Henry Rawlins Evans the younger of Swanston [sic] Court [the son], who died 21/01/1878 at Swanston [sic] Court proved 23/02/1878 by Parthenia Evans the relict the executrix for life if she remain a widow, effects £1500.
