Planter of Top Hill, Clarendon, Jamaica. Listed in the 1817 Slave Register for Clarendon as owning 51 slaves. Married Olive nee Burrell, with whom he had at least 5 children: Eliza Alice, Mary King, John Burrell, Adam William and Ann Hayle. It is not clear whether it was he or his son of the same name who was appointed to the Municipal Board of St Catherine 1866 and also served as a Parochial Road Commissioner.
