Update 19th September 2024: ID Card Collection Booking system Issue

16 September 2024

There is currently an issue with the ID Card Collection where the system is not closing slots that are full. This means that we are having to manage overbooked slots, and students may need to attend at a different time.

Update 19th September 2024

Over the past few days we've been experiencing issues with the current ID Card Collection Booking System. As we've been unable to find a fix, we have moved to a new ID Card Collection Booking System (with libcal).

The switch to the new system took place today (Thursday 19 September) at 12:15pm. The existing weblink to the ID Card Collection Booking System will remain the same and has been redirected to the new system.

We encourage new students to book an appointment to collect their ID card, as walk-ins may not be available when the campus is busy during welcome week (which starts the 23 September). Insider tip: Between 9-10am is generally quieter for ID Card collections.

Thank you for your patience.

The ID Card Collection booking system (Microsoft Bookings) is not currently enforcing limits on the numbers of bookings per availability slot. In order to prevent long queues, we are reallocating bookings and asking students to attend at different times. If you have made a booking, you may receive an email suggesting a different time slot. There are also issues with Students receiving error messages or not receiving appointment confirmations.

If you have not been able to make a booking, or if timeslot re-allocated to you isn't convenient, please head to the South Cloisters for a walk-in ID card collection. Until further notice, we will be operating a walk-service for ID card collections.

We apologise for the inconvenience and continue to work with Microsoft to fix the issue. Any changes to the situation will be posted as updated to this article.
