Being There - Professor Evythmios Papataxiarchis
°Õ³ó±ðÌý‘Refuge in a Moving World’Ìýnetwork – an IAS initiativeÌýled by the Migration Research Unit's Co-Director,ÌýProfÌýElena Fiddian-QasmiyehÌý– brings together expertsÌýfrom across the »Ê¼Ò»ªÈËho work on displacement, forced migration, exileÌýand conflict. It is grounded on the understanding that cross-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research is essential to develop a full understanding of, and a means of responding to, the human, material and representational effects of intersecting processes of mass displacement around the world.
Ìý

The network organisesÌýresearch-led interdisciplinary events, includingÌýseminar series,Ìýconferences,Ìýworkshops,Ìýpublic debates, and a PhD Wing (see below) to help us better understand the history, causes, experiences, representations and implications of ongoing shifts in politics, people and perceptions.

This site offers a snapshot of some of the world-leading research taking place across UCL into these complex questions in theÌýform of a directory of UCL scholars who are members ofÌýRefuge in a Moving World,Ìýand of relevant research projects across UCL. If you would like to join the network or include your project, please emailÌýElena Fiddian-Qasmiyeh.
