Microbiology Doctoral Students' Small Grants announced

As part of a range of activities to support the new UCL Microbiology Domain, Grand Challenges have just awarded five Doctoral Students鈥� Small Grants.
UCL doctoral students with an interest in Microbiology were invited to submit applications identifying interdisciplinary topics as bases for further research and consider critical issues. We received a total of 8 applications, all of excellent quality and addressing Grand Challenges priority themes such as antimicrobial resistance, plastic pollution, and food innovation.
Five awards were made under the scheme - the full list is detailed below.
Reports on the research and outcomes of their work will be included on the Grand Challenges website and blog in due course. We look forward to sharing the findings and impacts from each of the projects.
