End-of-year event for MSc Urban Studies programme
鈥楿rban night鈥櫶齱as the theme adopted for the UCL Geography听MSc Urban Studies听course during 2017/18. This offered a focus for exploring cross-disciplinary themes in teaching and research, as well as a topic of considerable current policy and practitioner interest.
Jordan Rowe听and听Mia Rafalowicz-Campbell听helped organise听an end-of-year event in the Bartlett School of Architecture, which allowed听the group to share its work on the London night with UCL staff, alumni and external practitioners, as well as to celebrate finishing the course.
The session featured two short presentations, one from听Amy Lam茅, about her role as London鈥檚 first 鈥楴ight Czar鈥�, and the other by听Professor Matthew Beaumont听(UCL English), on the importance of the night in urban literature.听KERB听street food, founded by two Urban Studies alumni, helped cater the event, with assistance from the听
