On 2 October CCHS welcomed David Lowenthal to deliver the first Annual Lecture for the Centre at »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË.

Professor Lowenthal was 'In Conversation' with , with Hugh Clout of the Department of Geography also reflecting on Lowenthal's career and the defining influence of his work in the field.

The event was co-hosted by the and the , and was the first of a series of lectures and seminars planned for 2017/18.
