I鈥檝e been fascinated by the ancient Greeks and Romans since my teenage years. I was lucky to have inspiring teachers when I was an undergraduate. Spending a few months in Greece during my university years intensified my love of antiquity, and now I鈥檓 a professor who teaches Greek and Latin.聽One of the things that first drew me to the Greeks and Romans was the sophistication of their poetry, and that鈥檚 why I wrote this list.
