Conor is well-known around UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health for how friendly, approachable and helpful he is. It is rare to find someone so obviously and genuinely invested in helping others progress. No matter what you ask, he is always happy to help.听Conor is a constant source of advice, re-reading drafts for grant听applications with impressive patience, always ready with his catchphrase 鈥渂ut what鈥檚 the听question?鈥� to help you refine your ideas. He recently initiated and co-led the INSPIRE Work Experience Programme, aimed at providing teenagers from听underprivileged backgrounds with听lab听experience. The feedback from this event was overwhelmingly听positive and Conor and others aim to听expand this into an annual programme with an even greater reach. Conor is constantly going above and beyond, a true role model听for any scientist wishing to collaborate with others to make a real difference in the world.
