The Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment (EPEE) MSc students were tasked with writing a blog on a topic related to the Energy, Environment and Resources in Developing Countries Module.听

The exercise aimed to provide the students听an opportunity to communicate to a non-specialist audience听and the best three were published by the UK Energy Resource Centre.

One of the module conveners, Dr Julia Tomei, explained:

鈥�We were really impressed by all of the blogs written by the students.听 Not only did the blogs touch on a wide range of topics 鈥� they discussed everything from as heating demand in China to power shortages in Lebanon and cobalt mining in the Congo 鈥� but they were of听 a really high standard! Here, we publish the three best blogs 鈥� congratulations to Vivek, Molly and Sebastian!鈥�

The three best blogs were:

• Hidden truths of ecotourism: Colombian case study by Vivek Parekh.
• Carbon Taxes, Brazil and the Amazon by Sebastian Spiteri.
• Why we need to talk about energy access and gender by Molly Tinker.
