Archaeology International Volume 25 published

The UCL Institute of Archaeology is pleased to announce the publication of the latest volume of Archaeology International which is available to read freely online as open access.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýÌý(Vol 25, 2022), published by UCL Press, showcases the expansive range of research and activities of the staff of the UCLÌýInstitute of Archaeology.

Research articles and updatesÌýcover subjects includingÌý'Neolithic bone shovels of Britain', 'urban life in earlyÌýIslamic Morocco', 'map projections,Ìýthe politics of cartography and their relevance to archaeology' andÌý'unlocking wetlands ecologies and agriculture in prehistory' as well as 'teens, manga and replica shabtis' and 'the history and development of, and access to, the Annual Report of thÌýInstitute of Archaeology (1937-58).'

The volume contains the finalÌýDirector's Report from Sue Hamilton as well asÌýan interview with Kevin MacDonald (newÌýDirector from September 2022). The usualÌýbookshelf of recently published research is included as well asÌýinformation about the Institute of Archaeology around the world.

The journal, produced annually since 1997, combines news about Institute activities with reports on research, bothÌýnew and on-going projects, carried out by members of staff. You can read more about the journal as well asÌý.
