Job Vacancy: Lecturer in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology

The UCL Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for a Lecturer in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology (Ref.:1876765). The deadline for applications is 22 June 2021.

础听尝别肠迟耻谤别谤听in Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology is sought to听contribute to high-quality teaching in the fields of Bioarchaeology and Forensic Anthropology.听Applications from individuals with research and experience across multiple sub-disciplines, who could teach across a range of MSc modules, are particularly welcomed.

The post-holder will play a major role in the teaching and development of the MSc in Bioarchaeological and Forensic Anthropology. They will also be expected to supervise dissertations at undergraduate, Master's and PhD level. The post-holder will contribute to administrative duties related to teaching and the running of the Institute.

The appointment is open-ended and is available from 1 September 2021.

听

The successful candidate will be educated to PhD level in Bioarchaeology, Forensic Anthropology, Palaeopathology, Biological Anthropology, Dental Anthropology or closely related disciplines. Exceptional knowledge in human dental anatomy is essential for this post, as is a deep understanding of the ethics surrounding the teaching and research of human remains.

The successful candidate will also have the proven ability to undertake research of the highest quality in the fields of Bioarchaeology and/or Forensic Anthropology and evidence of active research projects and of plans to develop further research in Bioarchaeology and/or Forensic Anthropology. They will have a strong publication record for their career stage, which demonstrates the ability to produce significant contributions to the discipline.
