The UCL Warning Research Centre hosted the ‘Creating Effective Warnings For All Conference’ #UCLWRC23 from 11-13th September. With three days of three parallel sessions focusing on discussions, simulations, performance, and artist interpretations, a wide range of stakeholders interacted to discuss how to create and enhance warnings. With delegates from UN entities, private entities, NGOs, academics, and government, there were over 170 attendees in person from New Zealand to the USA, and over 200 people joined the event online from over 40 different countries in 6 different continents.

This helped to make the conference a truly global, inclusive, and interactive event, enabling all those who wanted to engage, the opportunity to do so. Recordings of the sessions will be made available online, alongside any presentation or resource materials. As part of the conference we had a graphical reporter and here is the image produced to summarise the closing session.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, without whom the event would not have been possible: Everbridge, Medici con l'Africa Cuamm/ Doctors with Africa CUAMM, Lloyd's Register Foundation, Risk-informed Early Action Partnership (REAP), and Climate Risk & Early Warning Systems (CREWS) Initiative. We also thank the Anticipation Hub and Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre / International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC for their support and contributions to the event.
