In recognition of its 鈥渨orld-leading contribution to the policy and practice of education with international reach around innovative social research鈥�, the UCL Institute of Education (IOE) has been awarded a Queen鈥檚 Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.听

The merger of the institute and UCL in 2014 created the leading UK university for social sciences.

Between 2014 and 2019, the听IOE鈥檚听award-winning听First World War听Centenary Battlefield Tours Programme is giving a minimum of two students and one teacher from every state-funded secondary school in England听the opportunity听to visit the battlefields on the Western Front.听
