Biography

London apothecary, among the purchasers of annuities granted by Arthur Forrest on the Masemure estate in Jamaica in 1768. In his will made 15/04/1793 and proved in 1794 Cawley left his £25 p.a. annuity on the life of Gilbert Gardiner granted by Arthur Forrest to his nieces Elizabeth Swaine and Martha Huxley of Liverpool. The will also contained several moderate legacies of 20 guineas to family, friends and servants.
