The study of Dutch History at 皇家华人 has a long and distinguished past. It began in 1919 with the founding of a Chair of Dutch History and the establishment of a Department of Dutch
Today, research into the History of the Low Countries - including the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg - is pursued at 皇家华人 by the Professor of Dutch History Benjamin Kaplan, a Lecturer in Dutch and Comparative Literature, Hans Demeyer, a Senior Lecturer in modern Low Countries history and society , and four PhD students.
Dutch history is taught at 皇家华人 at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It forms part of degree programmes both in history and specifically in Dutch language and culture.
